William Davison-Secretary to Queen Elizabeth I

There are several websites where information can be found on the William Davison who was the secretary for Queen Elizabeth I. William directed that Mary, Queen of Scots be executed, but he only did so because Elizabeth wanted this (but Elizabeth made William the scapegoat and almost had him excecuted). I understand that this story is repeated if you visit the Tower of London. William was apparently released from jail by the Crown, and he was actually paid a pension for the rest of his life.

William Davison supposedly had four sons, one of whom was Christopher Davison. Christopher was Secretary of the Colonies here in America (in VA), and he died by 1624 (and his wife was Alice Unknown). Christopher and his wife Alice apparently had a couple of sons, but I don't know if those Davison lines continue today in America (ditto any sons of Christopher's brothers).

I have seen a little information on the children of these four sons, but I really don't have much about what happened to any of them (are any of their Davison/Davidson descendants in America today)? Were any of the sons in PA versus VA? If anyone can provide information on any descendants of this family in America, I would appreciate it.
