Looking for anyone researching the Wingard name in Jefferson County AR. I have Henry Allen Wingard and Daniel T. Wingard who are in the 1850 Census in Hoodsville and Darysaw Twp. These Wingards came from Lexington, South Carolina. I believe that Henry Allen may have died in AR before the 1860 census - not sure about Daniel T., but some of his descendants appear to have stayed in AR. Henry Allen Wingard's wife, Mary, returned to South Carolina by the 1870 census. I'm interested in any information about those who stayed in Arkansas. Names that appear in Jefferson County are Solomon Wingard (1870 census), J.S. Wingard, Dan Wingard, and Henry Wingard (1920 census). The 1900 Census for Jefferson Co, Pine Bluff shows Dan Wingard, b 1863, Martha born 1873, Wallis, b. 1886, James, b 1888, Grove (?) b. 1847 and Charlie b. 1899. Also an Elizabeth Wingard age 62, born in S.C. as head of household.

My Wingard line is from Henry Allen's daughter, Catherine, who was born in AR in 1850 but returned to SC with her mother.
