I'm looking for information on Maria Schommer, who I think married Peter Barbie in the mid 1850s. All 3 came over on the Francis B. Cutting in 1856, and appear next to each other on the manifest.

I think Maria Schommer (b. abt. 1835) is my great grandmother, but have no positive proof. Peter, my great grandfather, came to Chicago, and his wife's name was Maria. If I could find death information on Susanna (b. abt. 1832), it might lead to more info, but no luck locating it or marriage information. She seems to have disappeared after arrival to the U.S. from Hamburg.

Information on death certificates for the children of Peter and Maria show 3 different surnames for Maria, although most show it to be Schommer, so that's what I have to believe. Add to that the fact that they appear to have emigrated together.

If anyone has any information that might help, it would be very welcome.
