My wifes ancestor Hermann GOHL, accompanied by his daughter Emma GOHL, arrived with ship LAHN on Nov. 1, 1900 on Ellis Island/New York, to visit his son in law, living in Newark / New Jersey. I found this infomation on the ship-passenger record.
What I am not able to decipher is the surname of his son in law, whose given name is Friedrich (written in record as Friedr.), and the correct street adress in Newark. Therefore I attached the part of the record that is in question.
Is someone able to decipher the surname of Friedrich?
Is someone able to tell me the correct adress in Newark and whether it still exist in modern time?
Friedrich....... might be married with Amanda ........., nee GOHL, which arrived on Nov.4, 1897 in New York on ship TRAVE.
Thanks in advance
