I'm seeking the birth mother of my mother-in-law. She was born in Bowling Green, Kentucky Feb. 1933 to an unwed 15 year old with the last name of Richards. My mother-in-law was given the name of Barbara Ann Richards, but given up for adoption six weeks later to an Ohio couple. But, she was placed in the Kentucky Children's Home Society for a week or so prior to adoption. We are seeking the birth mother's first name. I'm sure she has long passed, being born in 1918. My mother-in-law is 81. We have exhausted state agencies and the Cincinnati law firm is defunct, and local adoption papers offer no clues. Please anyone who knows where the home's records might have been archived or have knowledge, please contact me. Her name was changed by the adopting parents. Thank you, Doug
