William T. Bloyd, 91, a former resident of 578 S. Market, died at 11:25 pm Thurs (17 Sept 1987) at Pleasant Meadows Christian Village in Chrisman. He was born 29 Oct 1895 in Green Co., Ky., a son of John and Sally Bloyd. He married Daisy Judd on 23 Dec 1915 in Greensburg, Ky. She died in 1982. Survivors include: 2 daughters, Mrs. Stanley (Erminee) Boughton of Sanford, NC and Mrs. Dale (Inez) Ferrell of Danville; 4 sons, Troy W. Bloyd of Hoopeston, Thomas Bloyd of Hoffman Estes, Glenn Bloyd of Tampa, Fl., and David Bloyd of Omaha, Neb; 17 grandchildren and many great grandchildren; a sister, Ida Judd of Greensburg, Ky; 2 brothers, James Bloyd of Greensburg, Ky., and George Bloyd of Campbellsville, Ky. Mr. Bloyd had been employed at FMC for 41 years where he was a machinist. He was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Hoopeston where he had been a member for 69 years. He had served as a trustee of the church and also had been an honorary trustee. Services: 3 pm Mon. at Hamilton-Orr Funeral Home in Hoopeston; Officiating: Rev. Wesley Hulstedt; Burial: Floral Hill Cem; Visitation: 5 - 8 pm Sun. At the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the church.
