CECIL L. CORNELIUS
Cecil Lloyd Cornelius, 84, of Florence died July 1, 2000 in Florence.

The memorial service will be July 15 in Graettinger, Iowa.

Mr. Cornelius was born May 31, 1916 in Lake City, Iowa, to Paul and Ruth Cornelius. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, was an agricultural machinist and worked for 27 years at Shaver Manufacturing in Graettinger before retirement. He was a life member of American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He enjoyed golf, gardening and playing cards.

Survivors include his wife, Armella; two sons, Larry Cornelius of Mount Vernon, Iowa, and Leonard Cornelius of Anaheim, Calif.; two sisters, Rosemary Booth of Freemont, Neb., and Vergine Uthof of Fenton, Iowa; two brothers, Duane Cornelius of Armstrong, Iowa, and Ray Cornelius of Las Vegas, Nev.; and one grandchild. He was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.
