SOCORRO P. ARGEL
Socorro P. Argel, 81, of Florence died June 29, 2000 in Mesa.

Visitation was from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Assumption Catholic Church. Rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Funeral Mass was celebrated there at 11:30 a.m. Saturday by the Rev. Charles Cloud. Burial was in Florence Cemetery.

Ms. Argel was born Feb. 22, 1919 in Mexico. She lived in Florence for 79 years and was a licensed practical nurse.

Survivors include two daughters, Frieda Villanueva and Rita Carrasco of Florence; three sons, Henry Carrasco of Pinetop-Lakeside, Avelino Carrasco Jr. of Florence and Victor Carrasco of Coolidge; a brother, Raymond Argel; 15 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.

Cole & Maud Chapel of the Valley Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
