Supposedly was born abt 1827. According to the Laurel Messenger, a publication from the Somerset Co. Historical Society, Sarah L. was raised by her "maternal grandparents."

Jesse Slick did not marry his only listed wife, Charlotte Amelia Vickroy until 1830.

Does anyone have information about Sarah L.? Illegitimate? Daughter of an unknown wife.

I do know she married and had children so guess she was not "sickly" or otherwise impaired...

Just an interesting mystery.
