Can anyone provide info about several families (maybe as many as 30?) who left MD around 1790 and all moved to KY. They settled in the Bardstown area. Counties split and renamed after that time, but might have been Washington or Nelson county? I'm specially looking for Hardesty's, but am interested in knowing more about the reason for this group to leave MD at the same time.
