SERENDIPITY: On pg. 217 of the July-Aug 1987 issue of "Genealogical Helper" magazine, is a charming photo of the Robert Vaughn family of Caldwell, Idaho taken in 1906. Robert was born 07 Sept 1876, the son of Charles & Lizzie Middleton Vaughn. Robert's wife, Charlotte, was born 07 March 1878, the daughter of Samuel and Anna Eddington Fuller. Robert & Charlotte's children were Estel, born in Caldwell, 05 June 1898, and Raymond, born 09 Jan 1900.

Robert Vaughn farmed in nearby Middleton, ID, and also operated a grocery in Middleton. He died 06 Dec 1910 of typhoid fever. Charlotte, an expert seamstress, remained a widow for many years, eventually marrying an Idaho potato farmer, John Stoneman. She died 28 Dec 1978, just three months short of her 101st birthday. The photo was submitted by R. J. Smith, Franklin, ID, daughter of Estel.

Perhaps this "tidbit" will provide just the right clue to a researcher.
