Hello: I am the gr.granddaughter of Sarah Elizabeth Nutt, who was the daughter of Celana Rutledge. There is some info
suggesting that her family either knew A. Lincoln, or that Celana was briefly courted by him. My family line traces back from Neosho, Mo, to the Rutledge line, in Kentucky. That is all I have, except that Sarah Elizabeth was married twice, widowed twice, and never remarried. My gr.grandfather was Thomas Jackson Niceley, and his son carried the same name. He married Ada Mae Fleenor, who is my driect paternal gramdmother. If anyone knows anything about this line, I also have great photos of Sarah E.
the only other info I have about my gr.grandfather, is that he had three children by Sarah, then died at the age of only 42, pneumonia. This info only became known recently, so I would be very grateful for any help. Please e-lmail me if you have any kind of proof, even just stories. I know just enough to know what family stories whould tally. Bible notations are particularly welcome.
