Seeking information on James Palmer who first appeared in Cumberland Co, NC in 1790d and died there in 1813. Wife was probably Betsy or Elizabeth. Had sons James Benjamin, Sandy Alexander, and James and daughers Sukey and Elizabeth, perhaps more. His sons moved to MS by 1830 to Kemper and Simpson Counties, MS and raised large families.
Especially interested in Grandson William Jacob Palmer b 1838, MS, maried lst: Winney Jane Ross, volunteeredf for Civil War and never returned to live there. Left wife and young son and had married Margaret after the war and lived in Loundes and Choctaw County, MS in 1880. Had five daughtgers from Margaret: Mary E b 1864, MS or AL; Rebecca, b 1866, MS or AL; Julia A b 1868, MS; Ida b 1870, MS; and Harriet b 1873, MS. William Jacob and entire family vanished from known records aftger 1880 in Choctaw
