I am looking for the parents of James Carr 1771-1844 he married in Wadworth 20 July 1789 to Ann Wilkinson born 1771-1825 I am also lookinf for Ann Wilkinson,s parents as well .My 3 x Gr - Grandparents.James was a Husbandman.

I thought his parents were William Carr 1737 Glasshoughton died in Castleford he was a farmer & his mother was Hannah died in Castleford after investigating down this line how I was wrong .
I was told James was born in Rawmarsh as there is a large family of Carr families in Rawmarsh & his father was a Jonathan Carr born 27 Feb 1736 he was a collier like most of the Carr families were in Rawmarsh my family was working on farms but having the BMD for Rawmarsh there was not a birth for James although I found a birth for a James Carr 1765 Rotherham Parish Church with Family Search.I also found a James Carr 1771 Holbeck Leeds,his father was James Carr also a James Carr 1778 Barwick-in-Elmet

I have Checked out lining districts parish records of around Rotherham Greasbrough,Kimberworth, Wath upon Dearne, Wentworth, Darfield,Cawthorne,Silkstone , Campsall. & Wadworth.I found nothing I looked at 5 years each side of 1771 as records can be wrong
Has anybody got any ideas to help me with my research as I live in Australia
