I am researching my maternal grandfather's family, who immigrated from Italy and ended up in Pittsburgh. I know for sure by 1906, when his sister was born. Apparently, there seems to be some question as to how to spell his surname. MARCHIONA, MARCHIONNA, MARCHIONNI, even MARKS, and MARX. My G.Grandfather Pietro MARCHIONNA (Peter MARKS) was married to Concetta BUZZELLI. Now, when I first posted, some kind person sent me census info from, I thought, 1890 (but now believe 1900) and it showed the following:
(the original message has been lost, and this is from memory, question marks fill in data I have forgotten)
Husband: ??? BUZZELL
Wife: ??? BUZZELL
Daughter: Congedda MARKHONMA
Son: ??? BUZZELL
Son-in-Law: Peter MARKHONMA
Grandson: John MARKHONMA (9months)
Any info anyone can afford me would be greatly appreciated.
Happy Hunting,
Marian Matha-Fromknecht
