I have a brown envelope/package that has typewritten:
Mrs Jane F Cassidy
48 Church St
Norwich Conn
The return address is printed on the top left side of the brown envelope:
DAUGHTERS of the AMERICAN REVOLUTION MAGAZINE
Entered at the Post Office at Philadelphia, Penna., as SECOND CLASS MATTER
If not delivered, please notify J.B.LIPPINCOTT COMPANY (now named: Lippincott Williams & Wilkins)
227 South Sixth Street
And return postage will be furnished
There is no postage or stamped mark on this envelope.
Inside is a folder like item inside it with Kodak on the cover. Inside this small folder are old photos on one side and the other are the negatives (size of the photos!)... it looks to be a holiday and others taken in or about 1914 ... some are written on the back with names or places, some are not, but it is hard to read the writing. The largest photo is 4.25 x 2.5 inches and all are black/white.
Some places (written on the back) include: Philadelphia, Plymouth, New York, Ashford Kent, London, "between Glasgow and Liverpool", "London to Liverpool", Scotland, etc etc etc.
Descriptions include: Miss Frinlke?, Miss Franell?, John Thomas, Father Scully, Dr.C.M.Mix & the Bishop, "Lord Mayor of London in the Mayor's Coach at Guildhall-London", Boden, NY, "St. Bartholomew's the Great Oldest church in London built 1123 A.D." etc etc etc.
Would they be of interested to you?
Thanks,
Susan.
