I am totally confused with how all this works, as I have mentioned before, I am a Genealogy newbie. My name is Matthew Cahill lindsley (b. 24 November 1965) My father is David Engle Lindsley (b. 16 August 1936 - d. 21 august 1982) He was born in Independance Missouri. His father was Floyd Lindsley (b. 1892? - d. 1967?) His mother was Dorothy (Ann?) Byers (b.? - d. 1978) MY father (David Engle Lindsley) Grew up in Twinfalls, Idaho. And was known as David Engle Proctor for many years due to divorce / remarriage. He re-took the Lindsley name probobly around 1955/56, prior to marrying my mother Dixie Ona Cahill. My father has Four(?) brothers Jack, Tom, Don and Skip? and two (?) sisters Myrna and Judy. Am unsure of currrent surnames. My father David was a carreer Military man, having spent 27 years in the Navy as an opticleman. He and my mother have 3 children (Myself) Matthew Cahill Lindsley (b.24 November 1965) my brother Mark Reid Lindsley (b. 16 June 1971) and my sister Ona Margerie Lindsley, later Argayoso, currently Hardy. (b. 12 November 1959) If anyone thinks they might have any connection or info, or ideas on where I should begin my search, I would greatly appriciate an email.
