I recently discovered that Patience Eddy b.June 27, 1696 maybe my ancestor. According to my research she is the daughter of John Eddy of Taunton and Deliverance Owen. John Eddy was born est. 1640 unk.

After viewing some message boards on John Eddy I noticed that there has been some confusion in the past on the origins of John Eddy of Taunton and that he has been confused with the John Eddy son of Samuel Eddy, so that a combination of their family history (wives and children) has been merged together. Apparently this was the case in a book written by Savage: "Dictionary of New England Settlers"

Can anyone confirm to me that John Eddy of Taunton is indeed the father of Patience Eddy. She married William White.
