I am seeking any and all information on Stephen B. Martin. He was born about 1821 in Swansea, Bristol, Massachusetts. His parents' and siblings names are unknown. On February 13,1842 he married the lovely Patience Cole Salisbury of Warren Rhode Island. Many children ensued: Frank, Ruth, Rebecca, Elizabeth, Johnathan, Julia, Jennie Raymond Martin (born July 1856, who married Andrew N. Potter, to which I owe my existence), May and Priscilla. The last child was born about 1864, and I have been informed that Stephen was absent by the time of the 1870 census.

Patience Cole Salisbury came from long New England family lines (Salisbury, Pierce, Round). Stephen was deemed worth enough to have a grandson, Stephen Potter, named for him. Surely there are traces of him and his antecedents in the community.

Can anyone help me fill in the gaps.
