My great uncle told me that his dad was from a town called Bistri in County Horincova. He used to write letters to relatives when it was part of Czechoslovakia. I can't find this area. He said the post office was in Horincova. Census records show them claiming Austria, Czechoslovakia, Slovak, Russian and Ruthenian as languages and places of birth. They were Greek Catholics. My great uncle went to school to become a priest and he said he was taught Russian. I know these people could understand Nikita Khrushchev but not other Soviet leaders.
Any help please
