I am looking for information on Jacob McGinnis son of Orville S. and Catherine (Busby) McGinnis. He served in the 9th Indiana Calvary, he was a Sergeant. Jacob was wounded in Franklin, Tennesse on 18 December 1864 he died from his wounds 26 July 1865. He also had a brother names Samuel who was in the Civil War, he may have also been in the same unit as Jacob. Looking for any and all information on the 9th Indiana Calvary, as well as where they served and fought, what happened to injured soldiers, pension and death benefits, rank, titles, jobs etc. As you can tell any and all information is what I am looking for.
