I am seeking information regarding Richard King,1757-1853.
I believe that he is a veteran of the American Revolution.
His daughter, Sarah "Sally" B. King, married Thomas Pittman,
1808-1822, on15 June 1826, in Taliaferro County. Richard's
wife was Rachel Dearman, 1777-1863. Richard's son, John,
later moved to Gwinnett County. The Pittmans moved back
and forth between the two counties also. John and Richard
are my direct ancestors. The Pitmans are related to me also. I think that Thomas is four generations back, and
I have not found J.D.Pittman, who was recorded by my grand-
mother as her father. It was a surprise to learn of the
Taliaferro County connection in tracing paternal and maternal line. Any information will be appreciated.
