Hi, we are trying to verify my wife's ancestors who served in the war.

William Cody Richmond, Sr.
Born: 1752, PA
Died: 13 Feb 1850, Richmond Falls, VA

First wife: Mary Koehler, 1778
Second wife: Margaret Bragg, 1809

There is a family report that he served in the Revolutionary War from Oct. 1775 to Nov. 1777, 3rd Virginia Regiment.

My wife, Shirley Hollopeter Wood, is interested in joining DAR if she can verify the links to the service of her ancestors. There is also a link on her Hollopeter side through Mathias Hollopeter it is rumored but we have not had any luck beyond him being a constable during the war.
