I am looking for information on my great grandfather Elling Aarestad's family. I believe He and his brother owned the Aarestad Brothers furniture store that burned down in the fire of 1905 in Shelly, MN. His father's name was Johan Ivarsen Aarestad and they immigrated from norway to Shelly in 1870. In the 1885 census for Shelly half of the family is misspelled as Harestad and the other half is correctly spelled Aarestad.
