I am searching for information on my GGgrandfather, William Blanton Teasley. He was born in 1839 in Elbert Co., GA, and supposedly died June 19, 1862, in Virginia in the Civil War. I have found his enlistment record at the State Archives. It says he was mustered in on February 25, 1862, at Black Hawk as a private in Co. A of the 30th Mississippi Infantry of the Confederate Army. I know that he had married my GGgrandmother Mary Elizabeth Cooper and that after her death in about 1856, he married Catherine Whitfield Beck in Carroll County on November 19, 1857. I would be very interested in finding out if William Blanton Teasley was buried in Virginia or if he was returned to Carroll Co. Any information on his family would be very helpful.
