I am trying to verify that Stella Cotten was born in Clinton Tennessee 28 Feb 1881.

I have nothing but family hearsay that this is the case.

Her father was Samuel Cotten/Cotton and her mother Mary Jane Fisher.

Anybody who can give me any data at all that they were actually IN Clinton would be more than I have now. I have not found a single record ANYWHERE regarding this family (other than Stella's Bible).

Stella had siblings James Mathew Cotton, Thomas Jefferson Cotton and Henry C. Cotton (Probably Henry Clay Cotton)

Any help at all with this family would be appreciated.

Stella Cotton married John Lindsey Whedbee 28 Dec 1905. Was that in Anderson County????
