in the picture is my grandmother LouBertha or LueBertha (on lap) and Estelle Owen(s). my dad explains that Estelle Owens was married to a John W. Owens probably in or around Sampson County. It is believed that Estelle passed at a young age when Loubertha was 7-10 years of age. Loubertha was taken in by a Boone family in mcDaniels, NC. She is listed as being in the household of George W. Boone in the 1930 at the age of 14 yo.
