I am seeking any information available on William Mackey who settled in Goulbourn Township on Clergy Lot N1/2 Lot 10, Concession 2. It seems he probably settled in Goulbourn about 1818 -- possibly one of the soldiers from the 99th Regiment of Foot. It is also possible that William may have been related to the Mackey's of Marlborough Township.

I am also seeking more information about his sons and their descendents -- Robert, William and Thomas and daughter Margaret (m. Philip Green) settled in Nepean -- all were farmers. Thomas married Claracy Brouse and had the following children: Andrew, Philip, Robert, Fanny, John, Margaret, Thomas Jr. and William. I know that William married Sarah Evans and later moved to New Brunswick (Plaster Rock).

Any information that anyone can provide on these families would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.
