I have found my mother's birthfamily and noticed a difference between her OBC and the ABC numbers from 1942 in Summit county, Ohio. It has an A in the number. The OBC # is 10 digits long and begins 1942... Her amended BC is 10 digits with an A inserted after 1942.... Also, the six digits following are different. I thought I read somewhere the numbers would be the same on both. Is this a clue for me in looking for her brother born in 1944 also adopted? I have his OBC and looking for an ABC issued in Ohio with same birthdate. Can I narrow it down with that A?
