My GGrandfather was John Swalm he was married to Marie Smith. The information that I have is that they were both born in Germany and came to Canada. My GGrandfather was a watchmaker and was suppose to have made a clock in a town square. My Grandfather Charles Swalm was born in Ontario. The family came to the Montana area and farmed, they also had a large family. I know of one brother Casper. I believe John and Marie farmed in the Forsyth area but so far have not found any records of my GGrandparents. My Grandfather and Grandmother lived in Forysth, Montana until about 1924. All of their children were born in Forsyth. They then moved to Miles City where my Grandfather ran a garage and my Grandmother ran the NP hotel. I would like to find out where in Ontario my Grandfather was born and also more about John and Marie. I have checked the Simcoe county Census and there is a John Schwalm listed but I don't know if it is a match. Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated. Terrie Ferguson Lepkowski
