I'm hoping to find family in or from Hungary. My father, Karmen Zsolyomi, came to Canada after the revolution. He lost ties with anyfamily he might have had. To be honest, he's such a jaded loaner that he hasn't even tried to find anyone. I on the otherhand crave family, cause I grew up without one (it's a long story).
My father's parents lived in Budapest. They were Joeseph Zsolyomi and Marie Nagy. His grandparents were Joeseph Zsolyomi and Erzabeth. His grandparents lived in Debrecen, I think. His grandfather owned a winery and I'm also told that he was a war hero. That's it for my knowledge of his family.
My father was in the Hungarian Army. He told me that his name in Hungary was actually Karlman, which was changed to Karmen when he entered Canada.
I hope that someone out there knows something.
