I am looking for information on a Samuel McCune (originally spelled "McEwen") & his wife, Margaret Gallaher McCune. Samuel is sometimes referred to as "Dr. McCune."
Samuel was born in February 1831, possibly around Clearfield, Pa. he died sometime after 1920, probably in Frederick County, Virginia.
Margaret was born in 1840 to James Ramsey Gallaher Jr. & Sarah (Sallie) Lee. She was probably also born in the Clearfield, Pa. area. She also died sometime after 1920, probably in the Frederick County, Virginia area.
I believe that these were their children: Sarah (1859-1873), James G. (@1862-?), Alberta (@1865-?), Rosanell (@1866-?), Ben Clair (11/15/1875-?), TWO Ralphs (?; 4/3/1884-? & 3/15/1885-?) & Mary (7/1/1887-?).
The 1910 Census shows an 18 year old grandson named "Samuel D. Rhodes" living with them.
The 1920 Census shows a grandson named "David Rhodes" living with them on Factory Rd. in Frederick County, Virginia.
I would be grateful if anyone has any further information on the McCunes & their children, including when they might have died & where they are buried.
