My 2nd great grand uncle George Thurston went to Pictou in 1883 from Birmingham in England. He took his family over there and one of his daughters Ada married a Jacob Stancomb. I have evidence of George and his wife and some children on the 1891 and 1901 census' of Pictou. George is a widow in 1901 - so his wife Jane died at some point, but I can't track where. Also I can't seem to find any death record for George, or if he returned to England.
Any information would be great.
Also if anyone knows why he would have gone out there in 1883?
