I'm looking for info. re. AGNES MACDONALD(my maternal ggg grandmother). My mother's name was JOHAN BARBARA MACDONALD SPROTT (born Sept. 21, 1915). Her mother was ISABELLA SCOTT TELFER (born 1890). I beleive her mother(my gg grandmother) JOHAN MACDONALD married JOHN TELFER 1886 in County LANARK at age 19. Her mother was AGNES MACDONALD(nee McDonald) & her father was JOHN MACDONALD (fisherman). I have not been able to find marriage transcript of AGNES & JOHN when searching Scots Origins. I did however find a JOHAN MCDONALD born in 1867 at DURNESS, COUNTY SUTHERLAND (no mention of parentage). I know Johan was from Highlands.

Because of the family pattern of naming daughters after maternal grandmothers I did find a BARBARA PARIS who married ROBERT MACDONALD 1845 at Inveresk, COUNTY MIDLOTHIAN. This couple had a daughter AGNES born Oct. 1846. Probably a wild goose chase because I can't verify this possible link.
