I am trying to trace my Grandmother's birth family.

My Gran was born 6/10/1915 at 174 New City Road, Glasgow - research has shown this was somewhere that unwed mothers went to have there children.

On my Gran's birth Certificate her mother is listed as Elizabeth McIntyre, living at 19 Elmfoot St, Glasgow, & her occupation was a cap maker. Subsequent research found a poor law record which refers to the father's name as possibly being Brough/McBrough - however, the details were to vague to help pursue this link!

She was adopted 10 days after her birth by Margaret & William Andrew.

Her adoptive mother, Margaret Andrew (nee McAllister) was married 3 times (1st William Clarke, 2nd William Andrew & 3rd John Graham!).

I have exhausted all avenues of research, e.g. was it a family member, census', valuation rolls, adoption agencies - the list is endless!!

I think this may be my last chance/hope of finding a link, so if anyone has information about my Gran's birth family, or even the family who adopted her then i would love to hear from you!
