I saw ur post denoting an Eliza Grierson (Hawkins) - and, I am searching for any material about Eliza's parents. Eliza and my gr-grandfather, Robert Grierson, (along with other siblings) - is the son of a Robert Grierson (who had 2 bros. Thomas & ??) Eliza Grierson Hawkins who married a McIntosh & had children by him, would be my gr-gr-aunt. Whether it be of interest to you or not -- Eliza'sfather, Robert Grierson the Elder and Sinogee, of the Creek Spanalgee Family were married. She Creek Indian & he, Scots -- who lived and had a plantation at Hillabee. Rob't Grierson was not a trader -- but, a planter who was friends with Benjamin Hawkins, Indian Agent, and also Andrew Jackson. I am trying to find whre Grierson went when his Hillabee home was burned out by Jackson's army.. he had been promised safety by Jackson -- but another General did them in. He then went with what was left of his family to stay with the Cherokees & went to Indian Terr. in Okla. with them -- I cannot find whre he came from in Scotland, though. He and two bros. I have heard Lag, - Dumfrieshire, - but don'tknow. Also, my g-mother, daughter of young Rob't. Grierson -- was a relative of McIntosh thru Eliza as aforementioned... when I was a little girl, Lucien (Loosh) McIntosh came to our home in Holdenville, Okla. & I rmember him well -- he was a friend of my father's -- they "drank" together. I am 73 yrs. old - so it was 69 yrs. ago I remember him... was he a son of Eliza's -- I am 1/4 Creek. Any names I've mentioned you run onto or anything you think I could read or look up to help me I would appreciate... Mvto! (Creek Indian for "Thanks to you")
