I am looking for information on the family of Samuel Groshong of Adams county Illinois.

His father was "French Jacob" Grosjean. This man came to America in 1751 from the Alsace region of France. He settled in Pennsylvania. Later tax rolls show him and Samuel in Kentucky and then in Lincoln County Missouri.

It isn't known for sure but it's thought Jacob Grosjean died in Adams county IL. Samuel Groshong built the first cabin there.

I need to know who Samuel's daughters were for sure. I can find newspaper articles about his daughter Mary, who wed George Campbell in the first recorded marriage in Adams County IL. But he also had a daughter, Frances. I cannot find much on her.

It seems that Frances had a daughter Pollyanna Groshong whose paternity is a mystery. Any enlightenment will be welcomed. Thank you.
