I have an embordery project done by my Grandmother Reenstine Etta Johanna Claassen sometime before her death in the 1930's, but I don't know what it says in American.

Can anyone tell me what it says?? And if so can they tell me what it means??
She was from Gross Midlum, Germany which is north west of Emden, Germany.

This translates to: Only Once Nod
I will find what deeper meaning it holds....

Thank You for answering my post, and I would very much appreciate the meaning behind it also.

In Afrikaans we have a saying: 'n Goeie begrip het 'n halwe woord nodig. Translated to English: A word to the wise is enough. One nod to show you understand.
