Searching for Birth Cert for GGgrandfather, John Wesley Davis (aka Hardin) b Feb 9, 1889 in Gainesville, Cooke Co., TX - I've been told by Cooke Co., Gainesville and other TX authorities there were no birth records prior to 1900? Can anyone help or suggest where to look? Thanks - myegge@earthlnk.net
