I found my gggrandfather living in Patrick County Va. on their 1860 census. It mentioned that he was born in North Carolina. I was told that Rockingham County would be a good county to ask around in. So if anyone out there has heard of William J. Ham I sure would appreciate hearing from you. On the 1860 Patrick County census he is 30 years old. HELP!!!!!
