Everytime I think I make some headway solving my family mystery, I hit another dead end. Paulina(Ulokuite)Woina and husband Raulias Woina(Rolf,Raulas,Waina) came to Wilmerding,Pa in 1895 leaving 5 children in Lithuania with family. Josephine b1885, Ignas b1887, John b1894, Veronika b 1896 and Ona (mary anna)b 1901...in Wilmerding. My g greatmother Veronica says she came over in 1912, first class and that her family was wealthy farmers. She said her Mom's surname meant big fist. What took me forever to find is that farmer is Ukininkas, fist is Kulak, and all lithuanian birth records etc are a pain to find. Ralf stayed in U.S and died in Cleveland, that I know. I found when Paulina came over under last name Woina but can't find any of the kids except for Ona (born in U.S). Paulina eventually went back to Lithuania leaving everyone except Ignas in the states. I would love to find any info on what names the kids came over under. John married Bessie and stayed in Cleveland, Ona married Joe and had 2 kids, Veronica got married to Aleck Morkun (Markham,Burgulas)and had 3 kids. Ignas stayed in Lithuania, married, had 2 girls and was a Soviet POW for some time. I'm hoping to see if anyone else out there recognizes these names....
