My great grandfather, John Wade Carrigan, was born in Blakely, Early county, Georgia in 1852. I have found 1850 and 1860 census records that conflict and no other substantial information that has helped me to locate a birth record for John or to otherwise definitely connect him and his parents. His father was supposedly born in Ireland and John left Blakeley shortly after his father's death probably about the early 1860's. Any information anyone has that may help to clarify the conflicting information or to otherwise help with this research will be greatly appreciated.
