Has anyone had any luck getting birth, marriage or death records from the Lumbee Tribe? Being accepted into the tribe is very difficult if not in vain-especially if you are of Black Lumbee heritage. I believe this could be what is holding up The Lumbee Tribe National Recognition. Anyway,tracing our roots back to the Lumbee Tribe involves a lot of Lumbee RED TAPE and they are not willing to cooperate. Perhaps we can petition Ancestry.com to get access to these records on our behalf? Let me here your thoughts, concerns, and ideas please!
