I realize this is a long shot but you never know. I am trying to help a mtDNA match find his birth parents.

He has done the Y-DNA from FTDNA which traces the father's line. 99% of his matches carry the surname Montgomery so we think his birth father's surname is Montgomery.

He was born March 30, 1968 in New Orleans, Louisiana. His birth mom was at Sellers Baptist Maternity Home. They think his mother was from Mississippi. This is the About section of his profile. The descriptions of his birth parents and grandparents were given by his birth mom to the maternity home she stayed at.

"I was adopted. My crib name was David. David's mother was 20 years old, 5'3" tall, 120 lbs., dark brown hair, brown eyes, and fair skin with freckles. The maternal grandfather was 46 years old, 5'9" tall, black hair, brown eyes, and dark skin. The maternal grandmother was 46 years old, 5'11" tall, reddish-brown hair, hazel eyes, and medium skin. She worked in a sewing factory. David's mother's siblings were: A brother who was 18 years old, 5'11" tall, light brown hair, blue-grey eyes, and a freshman in college. A sister in the 3rd grade, 8 years old, small built, red hair, and blue eyes. David's father was 22 years old, 5'7" tall, stocky, blue eyes, black hair, dark skin, and a senior in college. The paternal grandfather was in his 50's, a retired Colonel from the Air Force and was an investment broker. David's father's siblings were: Three brothers, two of whom were 21 and 19 years old and both in college. The other was a sophomore in high school."

Points to remember:
1. The year was 1968, father's surname possibly Montgomery, mother possibly from
Mississippi.
2. Mother was born about 1948 and father born about 1946.
3. Mother's siblings are Male born about 1950, Female born about 1960.
4. Father's siblings were Male (in college) born about 1947, Male (in college) born about 1949,
Male that was a sophomore in high school.
5. Maternal grandmother born about 1922 and worked in a sewing factory.
6. Maternal grandfather born about 1922.
7. Paternal grandfather born between 1910 and 1920. In 1968 was a retired
Colonel from the Air Force and was an investment broker.
