My father had a daughter when he was a teenager, about 17, in Chisago City, Minnesota. The daughter was adopted. My father, Maynard Jonason, did not see her and never told my mother about the daughter. He did not marry the mother. The daughter's birth would be about 1930 or so in Chisago County, MN.
About 1980, the daughter tracked down her birth mother and father (my dad). Her adopted parents had died and she had a happy childhood. She wanted to meet and talk to her birth parents. The birth mother would not meet or talk to her. When the daughter called my dad, my mother found out that the birth mother would not talk to the daughter. My mother called the birth mother and told her to talk to the daughter, which the birth mother did. Just a year or two later, the daughter, who lived in Cambridge, MN and had 7 children in the Isanti/Cambridge area schools, called and invited my parents to her second wedding. They went to her wedding. My dad died shortly after that (1984). I dont know if the daughter, my half sister, went to my dads funeral and I don't have the visitor/guest book. I have been looking for her for over 25 years including having some church luncheon ladies in the Cambridge area to ask around for a few years. They didn't find her either.
