1910 census has he came to USA 1904. So look for Fraternal/Social Orders/Clubs of Kansas between 1900 and 1913 or later. My best guess from years of research could be...O.S. probably is "Order of S? Kansas U? Volunteer? With it being inside a badge shape with what to me looks like flames then Look for organizations tied Volunteer Fire Fighting. The "badge" itself looks to be inside a "chimney" as I look at it. Next look to the country or ethic origins he came from in Europe or Patriotic Immigrant. He was a Coal miner so look for something associated with his occupation. Historic newspapers may have article about the club, his obituary (if he had one) should mention the group.
Hand shaking image usually denotes fidelity and loyalty. Many Clubs, Aid Societies and Church groups use the symbol. Search for images of hands shaking to see if there is one connected to Kansas, Cherokee County, the city he lived in.
