Hi,

I'm trying to trace back Corey (Corry) Helmer and Olive Hoover. Corey was Born 19 Sep 1880 and died Jun 1971.

They had a daughter, Alice Helmer b: 1918 in Mold Wash d: 1985. Alice married Bryce Emmerson Ault.

I'm curious if Corey is a relative of mine by going back.

My Helmer family is from in and around Osnabruck, Cornwall but come up from the Mohawk Valley in New York.

I cannot find any information on Corey (Corry) Helmer's parents. I have got his Canada Census, 1881 and it lists his residence as Roxborough, Stormont, Ontario, Canada... so I'm sure there's a connection somehow. I just don't know how.

The 1881 census lists his parents as John Helmer M 53y and
Sarah Helmer F 43y.

I know a Sarah Kinnear married a John Helmer... but there's a lot of John's out there AND I don't have any information on this John Helmer (if it's the right one).

The information I have on Sarah Ann Kinnear, b. February 03, 1840; d. 1886, 46 years; m John Helmer of/at Roxborough. Her parents were Moses Kinnear and Sarah Parkinson.

So... anyone?
