Does someone out there know where a person could get a copy of a deed dated March 26, 1707 whereby a Samuel Hadley sold 1/3 of a 40 acre parcel to his son (in-law), Philip Cole?
This land was reportedly bordered on the north by land owned by John Colby, on the west and east by highways and on the south by the remainder of the parcel retained by Hadley. It was located in the northwest corner of "Almsbury".
Until now, Samuel Hadley and his wife Jane (Martin) were not known to have had a daughter Mary who was married to Philip Cole.
The same parcel of land was sold by Cole to Ephraim Davis of Haverhill about 7 years later.
