There are branches of my family from the western part of Montgomery Co. that have me stumped. I am a descendant of John Quincy Heeter and Anna Josephine Kern of Germantown. Anna Josephine's father was William Kern (b. circa 1838 in Ohio) who I can find in Germantown in the censuses in 1870, 1880, 1910, and 1920, and whose wife was named Harriet Anne (b. circa 1842 in Ohio) but beyond that I'm completely stumped. Any additional information on the Kerns would be very welcome!

John Q. Heeter's mother was Susannah Peters (b. 1832 in Montgomery Co., d. 1902 in Germantown). Her father was Jacob Peters (b. 1802 in Pennsylvania, d. 7 January 1868) who is clearly visible in Jackson Twp., Montgomery Co., in the 1830, 1840, 1850, and 1860 censuses). I know his wife's name was Mary and that she was born in Pennsylvania about 1800, but nothing more about her. This is once again all I have--another dead end here--any information on these Peters would be very welcome!

Please, if anyone has an avenue for me to go down to try and find answers about either the Kern or the Peters family, please let me know.
