I am trying to connect with descendants of my great-grand uncle, Milton R. Sexton. Milton was born in Cabell County, WV/VA in 1846. He served in the Union Army during the Civil War from Wayne County, Illinois. He married Rachel Gilbert in Wayne County in 1865. In the mid-1880's, his family moved around in Kansas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. Milton finally settled in Crane, Stone County, Missouri, where he died in 1923 and is buried. His daughter, Sarah, was married to Samuel Frank Vanderpool and lived in Crane as well. I believe I have found his son, Marion, in Christian County, MO. Other sons were: William, James, & Charles.
I have the married name of one other daughter: Etta (maybe nickname for Louetta or Henrietta) McDermott.
